Everything About Our Packaging
When you’re ordering custom printed products from us, we’re sure that you would probably be interested to know how your purchases will arrive. We’ve compiled a handy guide- everything you need to know about our packaging. Read on to find out more about our sustainability, delivery and white label service.
Everything About Our Packaging…
Sustainable packaging
As with so many businesses, keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible is incredibly important to us. We offer many products that are made from recycled paper, recyclable material and Kraft paper (both recycled and recyclable and unbleached – making it the most eco friendly paper out there), to help you make eco-conscious decisions. We also know that keeping your business as eco-friendly as possible is important to all our clients. That’s why our packaging reflects this in the following ways…
1. Recyclable and recycled boxes
The majority of your orders will come packaged in recycled and recyclable boxes and cartons. These can be recycled in domestic recycling – no trips to the supermarket needed! The majority of our packaging is also made from recycled cardboard or has recycled content within them, helping to keep us, and you as the customer, as environmentally friendly as possible.
We are also phasing in recyclable packaging tape – replacing the plastic box tape with an eco friendly paper alternative.
2. Large format print materials – bubble wrap
For some of our large format printing (banners, signs etc.) we use bubble wrap and plastic sleeves to ensure your custom printed sings are protected in transit. These are also recyclable – some in domestic recycling and some at larger recycling centres.
Any plastic sleeves that cannot be recycled at home or in the office can be taken to Tesco to recycle. And if you don’t fancy recycling – why not upcycle? Keep your packaging (paper, plastic or otherwise) and use it for wrapping presents, pass the parcels, as garbage bags… and much more!
3. Vegetable inks
Any logos or branding tend to be printed with vegetable lithographic inks, which are less harmful to the environment and easier to biodegrade over time. We also recycle all our ink cartridges at a specialist recycling plant.
4. DPD courier delivery
Our recyclable and recycled packaging is generally delivered by DPD couriers, which has created a carbon neutral pledge. Read all about DPD’s commitment to eco balanced deliveries on their website.
White label delivery
Everything you need to know about our packaging certainly wouldn’t be everything without mentioning white label delivery. With this service, our packaging can help maintain your environmental commitment, but it can also help you with your B2B transactions.
We offer White Label Delivery on all our products. This means that we won’t include any third party (ours) logos, branding etc on your packaging. This will allow you to send your printed products directly from us to your clients – but with them being none the wiser that it didn’t come directly from you.
Not only is this important and useful in maintaining your B2B relationships, it also helps you be a more sustainable and eco friendly business. Instead of receiving branded packaging, removing the products, popping them into a new box (branded with your logo) and sending it away – the direct manufacturer to client model saves on unnecessary packaging and cost. It also helps you cut down on your carbon footprint – as your custom printed products will only make 1 journey, instead of two!
And, if you have multiple clients with multiple different business addresses – no problem! Just let us know and we’ll send your printed products out directly to your customers (and will securely destroy your client list after use).
So there you have it – everything you need to know about our packaging! If you have any questions or requests, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly team today!
