Trade Show Banner Tips

Creating a banner that catches the attention of your audience – in the right way, that is – is not an easy task. It can be quite a challenging endeavour, especially if you don’t have an exact idea of how to create it in order to make it as effective as possible and you are creating a banner for a trade show or exhibition. 1. Think about your customers

When designing a banner, particularly a roller banner, we tend to think only about the technical aspects, such as the banner’s font, its colours, its text and graphics, and so on. But the first thing you have to do once you sit down to create your banner is think about your customers. Who are they? What can you offer them that will make them sit up and take notice? You have to make sure that your banner answers the specific questions of your customers and gives them the details that are important to them. Think about relevant factors such as the age of
your customers, their interests, and how much they can afford. If you have customers in different age groups, with different financial status, or interests, then it may well be a good idea to invest in a number of roller banners that target these different customers.

2. Simple is as simple does

Even if you think you have an interesting or innovative product, service, or company, you still need to focus on making your banner simple. The fact is that your audience will not spend too much time looking at your banner – often a quick glance is all it gets. This is why the information you have on your banner should be as simple and clear as can be. Impart a clear and easy to understand message, and you are well on your way to making your banner truly effective. Make sure your banner’s information, graphics, and text is clear and kept to a minimum, with only the
most basic and most important details included.

3. Make your banner colourful, but choose the right colours

Whilst it’s important to use bold and bright colours for your roller banner, it’s equally important to choose the right ones. You don’t want the colours you choose to clash or fade away into the background, or worse, make the important text or details disappear. Consider the emotional effect of the colours you choose, but also remember that these colours need to go well with your own company logo or brand.
